How to use Dry Type transformer?

With forced air cooling, the output capacity of the dry transformer can be increased by 50%. It is suitable for intermittent overload or emergency overload operation; due to the strong increase in load losses and impedance stress in case of overload, it is in an uneconomic state of operation and should therefore not be kept in permanent overload operation for any longer.

What environmental requirements apply to the use of dry transformers?

1. relative humidity <70%;

2. Height: not more than 2500 meters;

3. Avoid rain, moisture, high temperatures, high heat or direct sunlight. There should be a distance of no less than 40 cm between the heat discharge and ventilation openings and the surrounding items;

4. Prevent the dry transformer from operating in places where corrosive liquids or gases, dust, conductive fibers or metal components are present;

5. Prevent the dry transformer from operating in places with vibrations or electromagnetic disturbances;

6. Avoid long-term storage and transport of dry transformers on the head and avoid heavy impacts.

What is the process of using a dry transformer?

1. Use a mega-meter to test the insulation resistance between the terminals "input" and "output" of the dry transformer. When measuring with a 1000-V-megger, the resistance is greater than 2 M Ohm.

2. The cross-sectional wiring of the input and output power cables of dry transformers should meet the requirements of their current value; it is appropriate to configure it according to the current density of 2-2,5 A/min2.

3. The three-phase input and output power cables should be connected to Phase A, Phase B or Phase C respectively according to the colour of the assembly line of the transformer terminal block yellow, green and red. The neutral wire should be connected to the neutral wire of the transformer, the ground line and the transformer. The ground and neutral conductors we normally talk about are drawn from the core of the transformer. (If the transformer has a cabinet, it should be connected to the corresponding grounding marking of the cabinet).

How to select the right transformer?

1) For a large number of primary or secondary loads, two or more transformers should be installed. If one of the transformers is separated, the capacity of the remaining transformers can cover the power absorption of primary and secondary loads. and are not dispersed too strongly.

2) In case of high seasonal load, a special transformer should be installed. Special transformers should be installed for the cooling load of the air conditioning and the electrical heating load of the building. Such as large heaters, large X-rays, electric arc furnaces, etc.

4) If the illumination load is large or electricity and lighting use a common transformer which seriously affects the illumination quality and service life of the bulb, a special light transformer may be installed. Under normal circumstances, electricity and lighting share a transformer.

With the development of science and technology, the dry transformer is increasingly used in the energy industry. Zhejiang Zhegui Electric Co., Ltd undertakes to offer every customer from all countries a perfect service.
